New findings of the Caucasian toad (Bufo verrucosissimus, Amphibia, Anura, Bufonidae) in the Kuma River basin (North Caucasus, Russia)

The paper discusses the distribution of Bufo verrucosissimus in North Caucasus. It is noted that absolute majority findings this species Russia have occurred Black Sea basin. All currently known habitats B. Caspian basin are located upper part Kuma River (the vicinity Kislovodsk town and Borgustanskaya village Stavropol region). New points shown between mouths Ugol’naya Kladbishchenskaya Balka rivers (left tributaries River), as well near Bekeshevskoye Lake (Predgorniy district, authors believe may be distributed along gallery forests up to Georgievsk Soldato-Alexandrovskoye village.
